This work was composed for the "International KODOMO Choir Festival in Kyoto 2005". At the end of the festival, it was premiered by the nine participating choirs conducted by the composer himself. Three groups sing in canon, every group expresses music like a prayer, and then all parts combine together forming a powerful force that tells us: don't be afraid of facing the difficulties. Female choirs can also sing this piece. The mixed choir version will be available in the future.

This is the new released CD from Ralph Woodward and the Fairhaven Singers: Into the Stars, a stunning disc of commissioned works. Choral legend Bob Chilcott's tender Ave Maria, Will Todd's heartfelt, Gospel-influenced Songs of Peace, two scorching madrigals from Thai-American Somtow Sucharitkul, a gaudy anthem from Carl Rütti, two memorable pieces by rising star Thomas Hewitt Jones, an unearthly carol from Joseph Phibbs, and a lilting folksong arrangement by Ralph Woodward are collected into this Album. Beautiful choral sounds suit all tastes and the music is performed with warmth and passion by this leading UK chamber choir.

"Hymnus in Navitate Christi" is a hymn for Christmas, which is written for mixed choir a cappella. We can see his characteristic style of music, such as melodic invention and clear forms. Slowly flowing music shows the smile of the angels to welcome Lord's arrival.

Andorka was born in Budapest in 1987. He studied in the Bartok Conservatory and became a popular composer of the young generation. The suit "Three Liturgical Chants" for unaccompanied six-parts female choir is an excellent example of the composer's talent. Three songs have three different characters. Each of them can be considered as a unique choral piece.
In "Lux aeterna" the composer uses various chords and harmony to show the movement of the eternal light; the rhythmical "Laudate Domino" requires from the singers sensitivity and concentration, while the "Adoro te devote" is a challenge of singing pitches precisely. These three contemporary pieces are recommended for competitions.

Bank Sary composed his choral work "Blue Sky" for female voices. It was commissioned by the town of Debrecen for the Bela Bartok 26th International Choir Competition in 2014. The composer said about his work: "I have used extracts of poems in Miklos Zrinyi's manuscript "The Valiant Lieutenant". The choir sings the initial sentence in Latin in unison, and then the music gradually becomes polyphonic before a playful, rhythmical passage takes its place in the middle of the piece. At the end of the song the beautiful text is sung by the choir in a homophonic chord progression."

The composer has written this work in 2012 for Adolph Seidel and his two male choirs. On the one hand, he tried to keep a moderate degree of difficulty in order not to demand too much from the choirs. On the other hand, the composer wanted to realize his music ideas. The second part "Halleluja" is relatively traditional and simple, while the first part "Schronen-Elements" contains the fifth interval in bar 21 with "gloriae" that unambiguously is the climax of the piece.
The work belongs to the most chanted choral pieces for male choirs. It has been selected numerous times as a compulsory work in Europe's choral competitions, including the latest international choral competition "Cantarode" in Kerkrade, Netherlands.

"3 Steps to Sing" is learning tools, specifically created to help choral singers memorize their words and practice between choir rehearsals. It is brand new and has the following advantages:
* Listen to your part sung by a professional singer
* Rehearse with the singer
* Learn at your own pace
* Easy way to learn your words
* Narrator calls out when to sing
* Be prepared and sing with more confidence
There three steps for using:
STEP 1 - VISUAL LEARNING DVD
The joy of using "3 Steps to Sing" is you just put the disc into your DVD player or computer and start singing right away!
You see the words and notes change color exactly in time as the Handel Messiah Soprano part is sung by a professional singer who is a real pleasure to hear - and you just join in!
You will be amazed how quickly you learn and before long you are singing the words at the right pitch in harmony with the professional singer. Both "sight" and "hearing" are stimulated at exactly the same time so the 'brain' learns intuitively. Once you feel you know your part you can also practice by turning off the singers voice (using the DVD/Computer menu options) but you still hear the music and sing as the words and notes change color.
STEP 2 - VOICE PART REHEARSAL CD
You will need a vocal score of Handel Messiah to use in conjunction with your CD.
It is helpful to work through the vocal score marking your voicing part with a highlighter. A narrator guides you when to sing and calls out bar numbers and rehearsal letters so you don't get lost. This is a great way to rehearse and ensure you are singing the right "pitch" for the Soprano words and to rehearse using the vocal score.
STEP 3 - CHORUS BACKING TRACK CD
Listen for the Soprano line and join in.
