Martin Sildos:
Martin Sildos begun music studies at age of five as a third generation of musicians in his family. In 1993-2000 Sildos studied at Tallinn Music School percussion under the guidance of Anto onnis and continued at Georg Ots Tallinn Music School with professor Rein Roos. In 2005 Sildos begun studies at Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre on percussion, under the guidance of Rein Roos and worked as a percussionist at Estonian Nationa Opera Symphony Orchestra (2004-2007). After that Sildos begun conducting studies in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and obtained bachelors degree on conducting under the guidance of Toomas Kapten in 2010. In 2009 Sildos was awarded Gustav Ernesaks conducting scholarship. 2011/2012 Sildos continued orchestral conducting at University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna under the guidance of Uros Lajovic. In 2012 Martin Sildos obtained masters degree on conducting under the guidance of prof. Toomas Kapten
Since 2013 Martin Sildos is conductor of Tallinn University Symphony Orchestra and collaborates since 2014 as a condctor/assistent with Theatre Vanemuine. In addition Martin Sildos is conductor of chamber choir Noored Eesti Haaled and often performs with Corelli Baroque Orchestra and Tallinn Music High School's symphony orchestra (since 2013).
Part Uusberg
Composer and choral conductor Part Uusberg has graduated from Georg Ots Tallinn Music School in choral conducting under Heli Jurgenson. Currently he is continuing his master's studies under Toivo Tulev and Tonu Korvits. The main part of his oeuvre is formed by choral music, but he has written also works for ensemble, piano, orchestra and film music. Their well-sounding and meditative atmosphere captures with its simplicity, tenderness and emotional climaxes. Part Uusberg have been acknowledged as a composer both in Estonia and abroad.
In 2008, Part Uusberg founded a chamber choir Head Ood, Vend in order to take part of the play "Good night, brother" directed by his brother Uku Uusberg. Since then, choir has been active in Estonia and abroad as well as gained recognition at several competitions in Estonia including Grand Prix at the International Choir Festival "Tallinn 2013". As a choral conductor, Uusberg has been conducted also Estonian Students' Mixed Choir and choirs of Riinimanda Choir Studio.
Maria Korvits
Maria Korvits began her composition studies at the Tallinn Music High School under Alo Polmae. From 2006-2012 she studied composition at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Helena Tulve and Tonu Korvits. She has written mainly ensemble works and choral music. Also she has created music for film, dance performance, exhibitions and installation - cooperation in this field bends her to the Estonian Academy of Arts as well as various independent artists and choreographers. Her works have been performed at the Estonian Music Days Festival, the Autumn Festival of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre as well as in Finland, Italy, Slovenia, Germany and Canada.
Riho Esko Maimets
His composition studies began in 2004 at the Claude Watson Program at Earl Haig Secondary School in Toronto, Canada, with the strings teacher, Alan Torok. Riho went on to study composition at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn, Estonia, under the tutelage of Helena Tulve and Rene Eespere. In the coming year, he will continue his studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
In 2011, Riho was awarded the highSCORE Prize 2011 in Pavia, Italy, in recognition of his "mature and individual style, in spite of his relative youth".
In September 2011, Maiments was selected as one of four Canadian composers under the age of 35 to participate in the Generations 2012 project with the Ensemble Contemporain de Montreal (ECM+). Over the next year, Maimets will compose a piece featuring violinist Veronique Mathieu as a soloist. The piece will be given eight performances across Canada in November 2012.
Evelin Seppar
Evelin Seppar started composing at the age of 15 and studied with composer Alo Poldmae for 4 years before entering the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2006. Seppar has written for solo instruments, various ensembles, solo voice, orchestra and electronics and made different arrangements. She has foremost caught attention as an author of choral music. Psalm of David No. 88 received a special prize at the composition competition organised by Estonian Composers' Union and Pirita Monastery in 2010. Brother in Trouble won the main prize at the competition of choral songs and arrangements in Voro language 2011. Sonnet No. 53 was on the program of the new music festival Arena in Latvia in 2012. Her most extensive work so far is the opera Teine that was premiered in Tallinn St. Nicholas's Church in February 2012.
