This radiant anthem was commissioned as part of the celebrations to mark Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee. It was first performed at the Service of Thanksgiving on 5 June 2012 at St Paul's Cathedral by choristers from the Chapel Royal, St Paul's, and an expressly auditioned 'Diamond Choir' of young singers from around the UK. Setting a text adapted from Proverbs 8 by Michael Hampel, Precentor of St Paul's Cathedral, that implores the listener to place their trust in a faithful God, Todd employs arching melodies and beautifully simple harmonies that are underpinned by a gentle organ accompaniment. With its peaceful simplicity and sparkling tranquillity, The Call of Wisdom would make an affecting addition to any service or concert. There is also a version for upper voices.

This anthem for upper voices and organ has been written for HM the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Setting an original text by Michael Hampel, Precentor of St Paul's, the text glorifies faith in God over worldly wealth or possessions. The upper voice version premiered at the Jubilee Service on 5 June 2012 in St Paul's Cathedral by the choristers of the Chapel Royal and a special "Diamond" Choir of children, to be auditioned by the BBC and assembled for the service.
Written for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving in St Paul's Cathedral on 5th June 2012
A gentle anthem suitable for all choirs not only as part of their Diamond Jubilee celebrations but also for general concerts. The work is very easy and is achievable by choirs at all levels.

This Other World was inspired by workshops with the pupils of All Hallows School in Shepton Mallet. In the workshop we focused on nature, and how it can alter our mood and bring us into a spiritual frame of mind. The words that the children wrote served as a pool of lyrics from which I created the final poem. It is a song about how the world around us can support us, change us, and lead us in our lives.

Oculi omnium was written during a visit to south-west France, and is a peaceful setting of the plainchant gradual taken from the Book of Psalms, Psalm 145 vv 14-15. Beginning and ending in C major, the work's expressive melodic line creates a resoundingly comforting atmosphere. It won the Brasenose College Oxford Platnauer Grace competition, receiving a premiere by internationally-acclaimed vocal group Voces8 in Brasenose College Chapel on 24 October 2010.

Longfellow's poem is a homage to the tranquility and serenity of night, qualities that are embodied by the concert I wrote this piece for, the Serenade in the Cloisters of Canterbury Cathedral. This concert takes place one evening in July every year just as night is falling, in the great cloister of the Cathedral; and above the open cloister rises Bell Harry Tower, the Cathedral's central tower. It was with the bell in this tower in mind that I included the optional bell part in the later stages of the piece.

This new arrangement of Howells's 1919 solo song transfers the composer's stirring harmonies and masterful word-painting to a choral texture. Howells's music, especially his considerable output of sacred choral music, is considered some of the finest written in the 20th century, and this arrangement captures the part-writing and intricate textures so iconic in his music.

Pergolesi's famous "Stabat mater", a work for two soloists, strings and continuo quickly became a success throughout Europe.
However there are numerous indications that it was also performed by choirs from very early on. Particular movements were very probably sung by a two-part choir, whilst the arias were kept for the soloists.
In this edition, the outer movements and no. 8 are now scored for three-part choir (SMA) in contrast to the solo aria movements. Three further movements are set as trios for three solo voices.
The added parts are derived from the existing musical material. These lend this well-known work a completely new charm and provide a welcome addition to the repertoire for choral concerts.

This tender arrangement of the well-loved Irish folk melody Londonderry Air sets an uplifting poem by Howard Walter: a stirring combination of music and text that was also used at the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997. Opening with the melody sung by tutti sopranos, the texture gradually builds to a climatic double choir section as the text celebrates the journey to God's heavenly kingdom

John Rutter's first setting of the Magnificat and Nunc dimittis texts is sure to delight all church, chapel, and cathedral choirs. The Magnificat features rippling organ syncopations, contrasting textures, and an emphatic Gloria. The Nunc dimittis is tender yet uplifting, beginning with a reflective, lyrical section for tenors and basses or a solo voice. This beautifully written setting is a welcome addition to the Evensong repertoire.

Popularity of this middle scale religious song by Paul Mealor is surpassing John Rutter's after it was played at Royal Wedding in England. The famous text that is singing about Marie's sadness when she lost her son, Jesus, was consisted in four movements. It is very Mealor-like healing song that is more "Mercy" than "Depression" or "Tragedy". Please kindly note that score for Harp and strings are only available for hire.

Texts are based on 7 kind of songs from "Ryojin Hisho" complied by Goshirakawa Joko, the ex-emperor in the 12th century, the end of Heian period. It was arranged for female chorus. This emotional and lovely song is expressing the human emotion of regular people at that time of era. Toward end of the song, it gradually built into a climax though luxuriant dance with handclaps.
This song is making a good use of elements of Japanese traditional music with friendly melody, and modern sound of harmony is adding a rich musicality to the song.

We Pana Musica, the Choral Sheet Music Specialists, has a new line up in "Pana Musica Choral Piece Series", PMCPS. We will offer the world and Japanese great choral music at reasonable price. Please look forward to our new series.
Very first piece of our series is Ko Matsushita's composition work "Cantate Domino in Bâ™- Psalm 96". This song starts with the texts based on a very famous Psalms 96 beginning with "Cantate Domino" that sings about joy of faith and blessing god. It was originally composed for 50th anniversary of Female choir, "KC Clover" in Kobe Japan in 2010. It was arranged for mixed and male choruses when "Sing for Japan", the donation project for Tohoku, started in USA. Since then, it has been sung by people all over the world.
Many performances of this song can be found on Youtube, but I must introduce this particular performance at Fabbrica del canto International Choral Festival in Milan, Italy in June 2011. Performance by 220 chorus singers from the world famous choirs such as Pro Musica Girls' Choir, The Gents, and Joyful Company of Singers is absolutely overwhelming that everybody at the venue was moved so deeply. By publishing this song, Pana Musica is hoping more and more choirs interested in performing this song, which made the world cry and prayed for Japan through singing.
